Welcome one and all for the greatest moment capturing tournament that has graced this world. That is right. A splash duel tournament!

What? What's a splash duel you ask? Well that is a very good question.

A splash duel is a single panel comic depicting your own character defeating an assigned oponent in battle. The whole purpose of a splash duel is to compete using your skills with art, composition and imagination without worrying about plot and time constraints.

Only the greatest artist will be victorious!

The structure of the tournament is quite simple. 32 contestants will be picked from the auditions who will be split into pairs. The pairs will depict their character having victory of their oponents in a single picture battle. The winner of each pair will progress to the next round until there is only one victor.

(Each round will also have a very loose theme, for example "Kaboom". The theme is merely to help get creative juices pumping and shouldn't affect your ideas too heavily.)
